This is a known situation, where if you are using any background applications, this can result in software conflicts and prevent you from using voice in-game, so it's always recommended to close these apps beforehand, as Discord in particular will be in attempt to use microphone.

To correct this situation, I recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

Navigate to the Ubisoft Game Launcher cache folder, by default located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache
Please note that the Uplay client must be fully shut down at this point and not running in the background.
Open the cache folder and move the "ownership" folder to a safe location.
Once you have backed up that folder, delete the "cache" folder.
After deleting the cache folder, please verify the game files within Epic:
- Open Epic
- Navigate to the game in your Library and click the cog icon.
- Click the Verify button once the drop down menu appears.

This is something that has happened in the past however has been resolved since and since one of the updates, it appears that issue reoccurred.

Would you be able to advise whether issue occurs every single time someone disconnects whilst loading into the game or is that something that only happens occasionally? I do believe this will happen to others players too and it won't always remain the 50/50 balance, so it should change eventually for you, however it is indeed a very interesting find you have and it doesn't look like this has been brought up in the past.

I would recommend you to keep an eye on this, as maybe you just got really lucky there, however this may also indicate in a possibility of an issue, so see how it goes, and we will keep an eye on the thread!
