Are you seeing any particular error message or error code at all when you try to connect?

Hey there.

As far as I'm aware games can be stored on external USB drives as a backup but cannot be launched from these drives on Series X. You would need to use either internal storage or the Seagate expansion cards to launch the game. I would however recommend clarifying this with Microsoft directly just in case.
