Have you changed the DataCentreHint=default line second off the bottom of the .ini file to DataCentreHint=playfab/westeurope?

We have a guide which demonstrates this here.

If so, please also check the .ini file is a Read-Only (Right Click > Properties > Read Only).

Thank you for reaching out to us with this!

This is something that has been reported to the team and many players have reported amending the value of 'UseProxyAutoDiscovery' in the GameSettings file from 0 to 1 has helped resolved this issue.

You can locate the GameSettings file by going to; Documents\ My Games\ Rainbow Six - Siege\ \ GameSettings.ini

The line for 'UseProxyAutoDiscovery=0' can be found at the very bottom of the file.

Please try changing this to 'UseProxyAutoDiscovery=1' and let us know if there's an...

Could you please try deleting your GameSettings file and let us know if this helps?

You can locate this by going to; Documents\ My Games\ Rainbow Six - Siege\ \ GameSettings.ini < Delete this file.

Rebooting the game will cause it to re-create the file automatically.

When in-game, try amending some settings before restarting the game to see if it's then retaining it's settings.

So this happens regardless of the program using your mic (Discord / Streamlabs / etc)?

  • The model of headset / mic you're using
  • Does this happen when testing with a different mic
  • Does this continue after verifying the game's files
