The ban might not be related to that. We wouldn't have that insight from the forums though. If you feel like there's been some mistake with the application of that ban and that you've never broken the rules, I'd suggest popping in an appeal to the Terms of Service team. They handle any bans or suspensions and can take a look into this for you.

I'm sorry, we won't know the specifics of your ban here on Answers HQ but the message you see in-game and/or the email you've received from ToS should help answer that for you.
If it's a temporary suspension you'll usually see the duration listed in the error message in-game and in the email received to let you know how long it would last. Typically if there is no duration called out in the in-game messaging or ToS email, it tends to be a permanent ban.
Could you check that message and email? Failing that, it would be best to get in touch with the Terms of Service team by filling out the webform. They handle all bans and suspension related cases. Please check out this EA Help guide for guidance on how to do that: ...
