Got it working, but only by deleting the ps5 version, re installing the ps4 version, going into the game, manually going back to the start screen, closing the game, deleting it, and re installing the ps5 version
Mayber worth looking into an easier way to get this bug fixed

Yeah but the latest 120fps update is only available if the version is on ps5, so the solution can't be to change it to ps4 and just not have the 120fps option

This was a temporary workaround with an issue with Ignite (pre-120Hz) until Breakout launched yesterday. Now that S20 is available, PS5's can return to the PS5 variant.
If you're hitting something similar on PS5 now, that's a separate issue that we can look into. Lmk
EAC issue was resolved yesterday. Did you just hit this issue while in-game? Any change with just restarting the game itself?
We cant do anything other than advice going to ea support. They will probably have a live chat option. They at least had under “need help setting up 2fa” for me. Also, can someone confirm that you hav to do it within 6 days? Because im going home from vacation in 5, and might not be able to

Re: 6 days. The offerings for free gifts are refreshing in six days, but they'll be free gifts rotating throughout the season that you can send. You have until the season ends to complete your gifting for the Breakout Rewards.
You'll need to be friends in-game for two weeks before you can gift to each other. There's a rotation of free gifts for the entire season, so you'll just have to make sure to gift six times before the end of the season (April/May) in order to complete that challenge.

We can't remove the cooldown for linking and unlinking accounts, this is applied across all EA accounts.
Once the time is up, to attempt to recover items you will want to relink the account to its original EA account. For more information on linking and unlinking accounts check out our help articles:

To echo a few of the other comments, you'll need to be friends with in-game (platform friends won't count for gifting) and he can only receive that gift once. Full outline for gifting here if needed.
Are you friends in-game or on the platform level? Gifting has required friends at the in-game level for a bit, full outline here if you need. Lmk!
Are you friends on the platform level or in-game? For the gifting you need to be friends in-game, platform level doesn't count. And the person you're gifting to needs to have not received that gift already. Lmk!
